There really is nothing like going to Europe or Japan to make you realize how backward and behind the supposed “greatest country in the world” is.
Cars and roads are SO QUIET. They still use fuel, but they don’t make near as much noise.
Hardly any trash cans anywhere and yet streets are not covered in litter.
Every – and I mean every – toilet has a bidet. 90-95% have heated seats. Probably 75-80% have privacy sounds. We’re talking public, private, in konbini, in parks, in homes, in hotels, in train stations, in bars, in restaurants, in malls.
There are at least 1000 ways to pay for everything and you can use your transit card to pay for almost anything.
There are vending machines everywhere. Hot AND cold. In the same machine!
Not only that, but konbinis have hot and cold shelves as well.
I fear I could go on and on, but I was reminded of this line from Family Guy:
