What’s up, party people?
The days are long and oh, so hot.
I got an antenna several weeks ago and it allows me to watch Star Trek 6 nights a week – not that I’ve been doing much of that since hockey game back.
Speaking of hockey, how bout that 7-spot the Stars put up last night? Of course, I slept through it, since I had to work today. I would’ve loved to have seen my own face this morning when I saw the score.
Took the final for my legal class yesterday. I missed one question and I’m so mad because I bet I know which one it was and it was between two answers and I guess I chose wrong. D:
In other news, I’m looking forward to starting my next class next week: PR and Marketing for Creatives. The legal class was incredibly interesting and will certainly help me just to be familiar with various contracts, but PR and Marketing is what I really want to do for a career. I mean, that’s why I went to grad school for communications in the first place. But to focus on music… that’s the dream. That’s why I loved working at iHeart – even if it wasn’t an artist/band I cared about, it was amazing just knowing what I was working for.
I desperately wish I could stop being so tired all the time. Every facet of my life is plagued by fatigue. I can fall asleep at 8:30pm and still be completely overcome by tiredness all day the next day. I know that my various maladies can cause “chronic fatigue” but that really doesn’t make it more acceptable. I miss having energy, being awake, appreciating what’s around. I know quarantine isn’t helping, but I really can’t blame it on that as I took naps at lunch almost every day at work when we were in the office.
Speaking of the office, I did have to go in for a couple of hours last week to reconcile something as well as bring my computer equipment home. Even though I was there alone, it was actually kind of nice to have that semblance of routine. Got up only a little earlier than usual, put on a dress (!!), drove pretty much on auto-pilot to the office. I had to get a temperature check and go through the typical questions, and then I didn’t see another soul until I left and passed the security guard. It was also unusually warm in there – I even had to take off my sweater! Usually I have a sweater and a blanket and a heater. Guess they don’t need to spend the money on the A/C when no one’s there.
I’ve bought my bike into the house and set it up to ride stationary. My cat has become completely enamoured with it. She hangs out by it all the time, rubs on the tires, the gears, the pedals… The only problem is that the seat is SOOOOO PAINFUL. Maybe next month when I get paid, I’ll buy a decent seat. That’s one reason it’s been hard for me to even ride it outside. I rode it regularly a few years ago when we lived at Anderson Mill, but it was never enjoyable. Maybe I’ll find it more pleasant with a wider, cushier seat.
At this point I’m just rambling and trying to think of things to say. I’ll get back to watching this episode of Star Trek: TNG about some dead scientist putting his brain into Data.
