Today at work was crazy.

We’re getting ready for Batfest this weekend so Monette and I went on a field trip to the Walmart and Home Depot that are like two blocks away from the station to pick up supplies. Do you have any idea how much boxes of Red Bull cost?!

We also pre-loaded the vehicles for Saturday so the morning crew doesn’t have as much to do to get ready. It is outrageously hot, even in the garage, and I was drenched in sweat in my nice dress and flats. Such is life.

Speaking of Batfest, I’m REALLY excited about this year! I’ve been a fan of Saliva and Tantric what feels like my entire life and I’m ecstatic to get to see them and cover it for the station(s).

I would be a dirty liar if I said I wasn’t excited for The Ying Yang Twins also.

Hear me out.

When I was a high school cheerleader, we had a UCA dance called the Salt Shaker dance. Like every (or most) cheer dances, especially pro UCA/NCA dances, they’re all mashups, so only a very small section of the song was the salt shaker, but it ingrained itself in my psyche.

Also, The Whisper Song slaps.

Okay, I’m gonna go get hype for Saturday and wait for Master Pancake to rip The Martian a new one tonight at the Austin Central Library!
